So the CashApp isn’t a full crypto exchange, but it is a really convenient way to buy bitcoin (BTC).
What is the Cash App?
The Cash App is one of the apps within SQUARE’s suite of products.
It allows you to instantly send money from one recipient to another, similar to PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo.
Why do I Love the Cash App?
I love the speed with which I can pay vendors or receive payment with a few clicks on my phone.
What I love most is the ease with which I can buy bitcoin. The cost is fairly low (currently 2.2%), and when I feel like buying $1 worth of bitcoin, I’m not penalized by a tiered fee like CoinBase charges.
I know this website is focused on crypto, but for those of you who would like to buy fractionalized stocks in addition to bitcoin, you can do so from the same Cash App interface.
I prefer using the CashApp for buying fractionalized stocks over apps like Robinhood & eToro.
What do I need to open an account?
You will need a debit card and a phone to download the CashApp. Registration is fairly quick.
If you want to buy Bitcoin and/or Stocks, you will need to complete a KYC (Know Your Customer) process within the app. You will need a passport or official identification to complete the registration.
The process may take a few days to complete, but you can purchase BTC and stocks with a few taps on your device once your account is approved.
How do to get started?
When you click on this CashApp link and send your first $5 you will receive $5 into your new CashApp account. Plus, you’ll be helping out the CryptoBurrito site to pay its bills. Thank you in advance!
Yes, some people say it’s only $5, but that’s a free $5 you can use to buy some satoshis (fractions of BTC) or a portion of your favorite stock.
Buy yourself a coffee. Or better yet, buy yourself some stock in a popular coffee company.
